- 1977 - Henry Wilks encounters an old flame from 30 years ago.
- 1984 - Jackie Merrick falls off his motorbike, dodging Harry Mowlam who tries to run him over.
- 1985 - Joe Sugden returns to France following the death of his grandfather.
- 1995 - First appearance of Nellie Dingle.
- 2002 - Paddy Kirk proposes to Emily Dingle again. She accepts.
- 2003 - Zoe Tate gives birth to a daughter who she names Jean after her late mother.
- 2008 - An altercation between Donna Windsor-Dingle and Val Lambert over Val's smoking results in Donna arresting Val for assaulting a police officer.
- 2011 - Carl King is arrested for breach of the peace after he drunkenly pushes Nick Henshall.
- 2014 - Dan Spencer is viciously attacked by two thugs who threaten to kill his children Sean and Amelia.
- 2017 - Debbie Dingle returns to the village after a year away and her children Sarah and Jack are kidnapped. After the children are rescued, Debbie reveals to her family that Sarah has throat cancer.
- 2019 - Bob Hope is admitted to hospital after developing hypothermia.
- 2020 - In a flashback to 20th January, Pierce Harris is revealed to be the one who killed Graham Foster, hitting him on the head and dragging him through the woods, hitting him with his car so he falls off the bridge before finally finishing him off with a blow to the head after an intense fight. Further flashbacks to 13th January, reveals the mysterious deleted message on Rhona Goskirk's answering machine was a message confirming Pierce's release from prison which prompted Graham to go to Pierce's apartment and beat him up.
- 2022 - Ryan Stocks is told his adoptive mother, Irene has passed away.

- 1977 - Hayley Tamaddon (Del Dingle) born.
- 2022 - Emmerdale officially announces that as of March of this year they will move permanently to a 7.30pm timeslot after airing at 7.00pm since 1977 in addition to replacing their double episodes on Thursdays with one hour-long episode..[1]
