Emmerdale history
- 1993 - A plane crashes onto Beckindale, killing Elizabeth Pollard, Mark Hughes, Leonard Kempinski and Archie Brooks, destroying Whiteley's Farm, Seth Armstrong's house and the stables at Home Farm. The entire storyline goes down in Emmerdale history, earning the show record ratings of 18 million, yet proved controversial as it was transmitted around the 5th anniversary of the Lockerbie bombing.
- 1998 - Billy Hopwood is arrested by police for the murder of Vic Windsor.
- 2010 - Michael Feldmann returns to the village after 16 years away.
