David Anders is an old friend of Jimmy King and his former doctor. In August 2004, Jimmy called David out to Home Farm for a confidential chat about him and his wife Sadie's inability to conceive a child. David suggested some tests, which Jimmy took, and Jimmy was relieved to discover there was no problem with his sperm count. However, this led to Jimmy questioning whether Sadie is infertile and questioned whether the contraceptive injections could make her infertile. David uncomfortably told Jimmy that the best thing would be for Sadie to come see him. The pair booked an appointment for the next day, and Jimmy was left disgruntled when David told them to carry on as they are. However, David asked Sadie to stay behind and angrily confronted her over not telling her husband the truth about stopping her contraceptive injections.
In December 2004, when Sadie stopped the contraceptive injections, the doctor informed them that nothing should stop them starting to try for a baby right away.
