Plot[]
After being told the events of the earlier night by Mandy, Kelly advises her to proceed to pursue Paddy, it's her last and only possibility of happiness. Mandy sets her profound longing aside and puts her family first by deciding to wed Butch. Regardless of being told that the marriage is sincerely for the saviour of the Dingle homestead, it looks as though Butch is developing affections for his cousin. Meanwhile, Paddy confides in Zoe. Zoe believes he should get on with the rest of his life and let go of Mandy once for and all, although later on, Ashley comes surging into Smithy Cottage encouraging Paddy to stop the wedding. Once arriving at the registry office, the Dingles are informed that the service has been delayed after the bride is running late for the wedding before them. Paddy catches up with a distraught Mandy in the ladies bathroom. He pleads with her to consider her plans and elope with him. She lays upon him a final proposal - if he really cherishes her, he will the pay the full estimate to spare the Dingle residence. Paddy takes the gesture brutally, and Mandy backfires from his unwillingness. The decision is made for Mandy when Paddy chooses not to, leaving Mandy with no other option to wed Butch. When Barbara turns up at the registry office and Paddy catches her, he clocks on immediately that she's supplying the money and is behind all of this. He's left disturbed. As the service is occurring, Paddy barges into the ceremony. Butch double-crosses his pledge when Mandy instructs him to cross his fingers as they proclaim their vows and he doesn't. Mid-route through Paddy finally interrupts but leaves an energised Mandy wound down when he doesn't pronounce anything against the marriage. As the documents are signed and Zak is given his fortune, Paddy sarcastically congratulates the wedded couple, before storming out. Barbara rushes after him, yet he's left disgusted at her actions and warns her to stay from him, as far he's concerned, she doesn't exist. A stunned Laura is given the cash for the Dingle residence. As the Dingles reclaim Wishing Well and celebrations are in full swing, Mandy’s left distraught and troubled, sobbing and regretting what she’s done.
