William seems determined that things will be seen his way, something which has not pleased Sam who is working up the courage to complain to the bishop about him. Meanwhile, Amos is still struggling to come to terms with the idea of Dolly working in The Woolpack. He soon warms to the idea though when she tells him that Henry said Amos would be an excellent teacher of the craft of bar-keeping. Joe and Kathy prepare for their first night in the cottage in Demdyke Row.
