Plot
Val puts a brave face on her worry for Amy, who is being kept in hospital overnight and is nowhere to be seen. At the same time, Belle acts suspiciously when she sneaks home to get snacks for Amy. Lisa worries when the school calls to say that Belle hasn't been in, and she guesses that Amy will be behind it. At the hospital, Belle is horrified when Amy says that she will get the baby adopted, while Val is relieved when Zak tells her that Amy has been with Belle. Later, Amy is discharged from hospital but is in turmoil when she returns as she is desperate to speak to Val but can't. Soon afterwards, Amy grabs Belle nastily and tells her to stay away from her when she tries to persuade her not to give the baby up. Meanwhile, Nikhil is gutted when he tells Charity that he saw Gennie kissing Nicky. At the same time, Gennie is happy to get a text from Nicky, but feels awkward when Katie tells her that she told Nikhil she was on a date when he called the night before. Later, Nikhil snaps at Gennie when she presses him on what he wanted when he called. Nikhil still can't admit his feelings. Elsewhere, Moira chats to Diane about how bad things are at home and resolves to be more supportive of John; while Hazel is determined that she wants to return to Dale Head to live with her memories.
