Farmer Matthews was a farmer whose wife sold Sam Dingle his pig Priscilla in January 1998. Farmer Matthews went to Wishing Well Cottage and tried to buy the pig back. He tells them that the pig bit off two of his fingers, and the Dingles are shocked when the pig later relieves itself, and Zak Dingle finds a ring. Matthews tries to offer Zak money again but Zak drags Matthews from the pub and offers to sell Priscilla for £75. He agrees. On Zak and Lisa Dingle's wedding day, Matthews bursts in and claims that Lisa is wearing his ring, and she is upset after discovering that the ring came from the pig. Matthews takes the ring and leaves.
