Helen Eacott was an elderly farmer who ran Eacott's Farm alone. Seth Armstrong met with her in January 1981 and suggested Helen advertised for help, but she refused. When Ian Probert arrives in the village, she strikes up a friendship with him. She admits she feels lonely at the farm sometimes but only when people point out that she's alone.
