Lesley was a young woman who moved into Hawthorn Cottage with her grandparents in June 1977. Joe, the previous owner of the house, was left smitten by Lesley. Lesley revealed to The Woolpack owner Amos Brearly that her family owns the brewery that supplies a large amount of The Woolpack's beer. She returns to staying with her grandparents in November 1977 to help in planning their second wedding.
