Do you/anyone else think the murderers category should be changed to "Serial Killers"? This would remove any confusion/disagreements about who's a killer and who isn't. Then we could only have the Kill Count list on the pages in the category (Cameron Murray, Emma Barton, Graham Clark, Lachlan White, Ray Mullan and Reg Dawson).
So do I. They should have done something different for October week and saved Kim's return for when Claire comes back full time January-ish 2019. I'm not convinced Joe is dead either but we still have to treat it as if he is.
I don't think that we should scrap the Murderers category. At the end of the day, there are always going to be confusions with whether someone is dead or not, who killed who and whether they're dead or not, that's soap. But, I think we should leave the categories as Murderers and Murder Victims. They're aren't too many, so you can easily identify the serial killers amongst them, so it is not a problem.
But it causes edit warring between one person who thinks Graham/Cain/Robert are murderers and one who doesn't. Personally I think Robert should have the murderers category but I know Boushenheiser doesn't. Removing it altogether (or replacing it with "Serial Killers" and "Serial Killer Victims") would stop this as, as you said, it's easy to identify the serial killers.
to be fair, there is always going to be conflicts and disputes and confusions on wikia, but I believe that the category does work and does make sense. removing it altogether personally, wouldn't be the best thing to do but maybe im wrong about that.
Usually the conflicts/disputes are answered by the show (it appears whether Graham or Cain "killed" Joe will be answered soon) and I think we should try limit the conflicts and such which we can do by removing this category. However, it does make it easier to discover who the show's villains are.
Sorry, but he keeps reverting my edits repeatedly without discussing it with me on the talk page of the page that I'm editing or even on my message wall. Whether it's stopping me from updating images, stopping me from including appropriate quotes or creating actor pages for actors but not having enough time to edit it fully before he adds "Template: Delete" onto the page. I'm sorry to ask, but I don't know what to do?
that's incorrect. first of all, putting the images aside, you delete my content when it comes to quotes on character pages without even discussing it with me and you stop me from creating or adding content on the character pages, and this is within 2 minutes of me creating the page. No offense, but I am aloud to save my edits repeatedly, especially if they are major edits to ensure that my content already added is safe. I'm sorry bro, but this is on a repeated level!
I do think Qazwsx undos some edits needlessly, although in his defence, I've gone through his edits in about last 6 weeks (very quickly as it's 11pm and I hope the get Episode 8303 and the LOAs up tonight at a fairly reasonable hour) and from what I see, there has only been maybe two times he's added a delete tag to a page you've created, one was just under an hour after you created it, and the other 23 hours later, so as he said, there was plenty of time for the page to be sorted.
As for undoing your page edits, I'm not sure if your editing on phone, tablet or laptop, but maybe you could copy and paste your edits to a notepad like app, and instead of making lots of little edits you could make larger edits which would prevent, or drastically reduce, the problem of edit conflicts and probably make Qazwsx a lot less likely to undo things as it would be full paragraph/section edits. (I hope that makes sense)
Saving or partially saving edits has saved me a ton due to edit conflicts or when I accidentally close the tab I am editing on (which I seem to do rather frequently when creating episode pages).
Thanks for getting back to me, I suppose that seems fair enough. However, I know it probably sounds petty, but I do think that my "updated image" of Chrissie White was better than the one already posted as the clothing worn in my photo is more commonly worn by Chrissie (as she is seen to wear it in a few more episodes), better facial expressions in the sense that her mouth is closed instead of it being quite open during mid-conversation, and the image is more up-to-date by 7 months.
Still counts as a Spoiler! As far as i'm concerned Robron had their chance with Seb and blew it by allowing him to go-if and when the so called apperance happens next week, i'm assumeing that will be Him gone after that.
Basically if it hasn't happened on screen it's a spoiler. And sometimes these spoilers never happen. The (stupid) news sites that fell for a company's April Fools joke last year kept saying that Lachlan would go on a bloodbath rampage with a gun and kill numerous villagers including Lawrence and Emma - and these sites kept posting it until the details of October week 2017 were revealed.
I think we are defintely in a position to say he's gone this time since we already know that Ross and Rebecca won't be back anytime soon and i'm guessing this "custody battle" will be dealt with off screen.
Hello. The wiki has a lot of pages, and I wanted to let you know that I've started scanning your wiki. I got about half of the pages scanned, so I should be able to finish in the next day or two. Once I complete the scan, I'll leave you another message.
By default, user accounts with "bot" rights do not appear on Wiki Activity and Recent Changes. This is intentional to avoid those feeds being overwhelmed with mass edits by bots. Like Daniel said, you can click the Show Bots option to see any edit made by bots. Better yet, you can view my bot's contributions.
Hello! As you requested, your wiki has been scanned to find and fix general errors. You can review the edits made by the bot here. After 30 days from now, your wiki will be eligible for another scan, if you wish to submit another request.
It is stated on Jack Sugden's character page and LOA page that his last appearance was on 21st February 2008, yet on Episode 5218/5219 (10th February 2009) episode page, he is listed on the regular cast list which is confusing.
Also, I'm uncertain whether to remove Gennie's last two appearances because there wasn't any new dialogue and she wasn't credited for it in the actual episodes. The last one was when her singing was heard in Cameron's prison cell, yet we already saw the video of her singing at her funeral and the other one is where Gennie is heard by Debbie on her dictaphone, which basically replays her death scene in voice anyway.
For episode 5218/5219, Clive Hornby had passed away prior to the episode being filmed and Jack's head was clearly superimposed on someone else's body. I personally don't think this should count as an appearance.
As for Gennie, if all the footage in those uncredited appearances was previously shown in an episode for which Sian Reese-Williams was credited, then I think they should be removed.
On character pages, do you think more should be added to the "See also" category? I'm going through and creating family pages, so maybe we could add them? For example, Jacob Gallagher's page could have "Full list of appearances ", "ITV profile " and "Gallagher family"?
I'm unsure about adding the ITV profile. If they had a clip of the character's first scene like the Corrie ones do, I defiantly think it would be worthwhile but the Emmerdale profiles are pretty rubbish and out of date (Sarah's still has Sophia Amber Moore down as the actor and it's approaching 3 years since her last appearance.)
I'm trying to find code that makes the LOA pages mobile friendly but also divides the columns automatically like you done.
I don't suppose you have any idea how to make the column contents equal (It's currently 3, 4, 4, 1? Say there's 12 episodes, have three in each column 3,3,3,3. And if there's 13 have 4, 4, 4,1 like the current LOA format.
Judging by the reply on Community Central, it appears that making the columns sort correctly will be extremely difficult. Although it would be nice for them to automatically sort, it's not that big a deal to move them.
I definitely think we need to make the LOA pages mobile friendly though.
