Mr Gunnarson is the father of Swedish tourists Olaf and Asta Gunnarson. In May 1977, Mr Gunnarson arrived in Beckindale to personally thank Matt Skilbeck for saving Olaf and Asta when they were involved in a pot-holing accident in March 1977. However, his visit was not just for thank yous as he gave friend Henry Wilks an offer regarding The Woolpack.
