Mrs Hotson is the wife of Colly Hotson and mother of Wendy Hotson. Wendy was raped after a farmer's social night in April 1979, and Colly became hell-bent on finding the attacker and serving justice. Mrs Hotson and Annie Sugden tries to calm Colly down but only managed to anger him more, causing Mrs Hotson to break down in tears in front of Annie. However, Colly managed to track down the attacker, chasing him onto a road where the attacker was struck and killed by a motorbike driven by Smarty Garret and Poor Ocker.
